Case Western Coding Bootcamp Review

All of CWRU’s bootcamp classes used to be held on campus in Cleveland, but due to the pandemic, all classes were moved online to a virtual classroom. And while CWRU is a University, you don’t need to be a CWRU student to apply.

The tuition cost WCRU programs is $11,995 – $12,995. The courses are 24 weeks long (6 months), and classes take place three times a week. There are two different class schedules you can choose from: 

Option A which takes place Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM 

Option B which takes place Tuesday and Thursdays 6:30 – 9:30 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.

For each of the three courses, you’ll need a laptop or computer, with no need for books or offline class materials. Each curriculum can be broken down into three main groups. 

  • Discussions led by the instructor 
  • Lab work where you’ll complete online exercises and projects 
  • Projects where you’ll get your hands dirty with assignments which focus on applications you can use in your portfolio as well

Course Description:

In this course, you’ll gain specialized skills that allow you to become a professional front and back end coder using popular languages and frameworks like JavaScript, Node.js, and MongoDB. You’ll also gain a fundamental understanding of how computer science applies to JavaScript and core coding concepts like problem-solving and project management.

Help companies secure their data and online assets by learning how to attack and defend network systems, databases, conduct vulnerability assessments, and identify suspicious behavior while using Bash scripts to automate your tasks.

The course is centered around hands-on learning, and you’ll collaborate with your cohort and work individually on comprehensive projects to showcase your skills.
