Design Lab Bootcamp Review

Design Lab Academy Review

Hackwagon Academy is an immersive coding bootcamp located in Singapore. The school offers courses in Data Science, Fullstack Web Development, and Front-end Development. All courses meet for 7 weeks, on a part-time basis. Students learn relevant skills from skilled instructors who work in the industry.

Hackwagon Academy is a good option if you’re looking for a more affordable school. If you are a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, you can even get a subsidy from the government. While the costs are way lower than other coding schools, you need to consider the fact that it’s in Singapore and if you don’t live in Singapore, you’d have to travel there to complete the course, as there is no online option.

One downside to Hackwagon Academy is that it doesn’t offer a job guarantee like many other coding bootcamps do. They will not help you find a job after graduating and they won’t refund your tuition if you do not find a job. That being said, they do have partnerships with companies and start-ups which students can network with, which could ultimately assist in finding internships and jobs.

All-in-all, Hackwagon is a great start for beginners. You won’t learn everything there is to know in 7 weeks, but you’ll gain a good introduction to subjects including web development and data visualization, and learn coding languages like JavaScript and Python. These are all industry-related skills that you’ll be able to take with you to your next career.
