Courses Offered

Lets dive into each of the 3 course BeachCoders currently offers. Each course is four weeks long and doesn’t require a full-time commitment.

Codewave™ : Intro Web Development

BeachCoders built this course for anyone who wants to dip their toes into the coding world, and doesn’t require any previous coding experience. You’ll learn how to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other popular languages and frameworks to create custom websites from the ground up.

In week one, you’ll cover all you need to know about HTML and CSS to create page layouts and ensure your website is mobile-friendly. In week two, you’ll move on to JavaScript and tackle key subjects like objects, functions, arrays, conditional statements and loops. In Week 3 it’s time to move on to more advanced topics which you’ll need for web development, such as programming paradigms, manipulating the DOM, and AJAX & JSON. In week four, you’ll learn how to use APIs so you can use databases as well as learning object-orientated JavaScript.

Codewave.JS™: Advanced Web Development

The advanced web development course is aimed at experienced web developers who want to powerup their skills. In this course, more time is dedicated to learning specific skills such as functional programming, data structures, computer science, approaching and solving problems using algorithms, an introduction to Blockchain technology and a capstone project that puts it all together.

Ultimate UX™: User Experience Design Course

UX design has exploded recently as companies realized that customers care how easy a product is to use and navigate. In this course, you’ll learn the tools and techniques needed to design easy-to-use products using a wide range of skills. You’ll study the foundations of UX design, how to articulate your design process, and back up your suggestions with reasoning and proof. You’ll also learn how the role of a UX designer interacts with product managers, developers, graphic designers, in addition to learning how to create your own documentation with user personas, user flows, and wireframes.

Job Outcomes

BeachCoders has partnered with multiple hiring companies like TripleByte to help graduates find full-time job placements in a wide range of companies, including fortune 500 companies.

BeachCoder graduates have gone on to work for impressive organizations like SpaceX, NASA, Google, Boeing, Snapchat and Universal Studios

Application Process

To apply, you won’t need to show any previous coding skill or experience, but you will need to have the necessary computer skills such as file management. After submitting your application, you’ll need to complete a simple phone interview to finalize your acceptance.

Final Verdict

BeachCoders isn’t like your typical coding bootcamp, which is a fantastic advantage for many students. Instead of following the usual template of cramming as many topics as possible into 16 weeks, BeachCoders has a much more relaxed approach.

Courses require part-time involvement, are significantly cheaper than competitors, and are separated into 4-week mini-bootcamps. This gives you greater freedom choosing when and how you want to study.

BeachCoders also works with several hiring companies which means the chances of getting hired after completing their courses are good.

If you are looking to kickstart a career as a software developer or web designer, BeachCoders could be a great choice to consider.
